Crytek Working with Natal
Crytek is hard at work making CryEngine-based games that will showcase the Xbox 360 Natal and PlayStation Move controllers. Develop reports that the developer behind the Crysis series confirmed that motion-controlled projects are in the works. CEO Cevat Yerli said they are "working very closely with Sony and Microsoft in regards to motion control on both the PS3 and Xbox 360," but he added, "thats as much as NDA allows us to say right now." The company is also said to be taking 3D technology "very seriously."
Crytek U.K. recently filed a trademark for "Self Defense," and rumors have been swirling that its a motion control project. Now that Crytek has confirmed that theyre dipping into motion control, we may see more news regarding it soon. From the sounds of it, the company is eager to try out new technology. Given how they pushed the limits with the original Crysis, it should be interesting to see.
