Upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace Releases Detailed
Microsoft has laid out the release dates for much of the content well be seeing on the Xbox Live Marketplace in May. We already know that Zeno Clash and RayStorm HD were released on the Xbox Live Arcade today, but weve got two other XBLA release dates: Rocket Knight (1,200 Microsoft Points) will release on May 12, and Snoopy Flying Ace (800 points) on June 2. That leaves a two week gap without any announced XBLA releases, but maybe those two weeks will instead see updates to Game Room.
The following week, beginning on May 17, youll find The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition as the Deal of the Week with a drop in price to 400 points. On May 17 youll also be able to buy some Monkey Island-themed Avatar items on the cheap; the price of LeChucks Pirate Hat will drop to 40 points and the giant cotton swab will drop to 80 points. If youre not interested in either of those, there are some new items coming to the Avatar Marketplace tomorrow featuring and Game Room, followed by Army of Two and A World of Keflings content on May 13.
New Games on Demand titles coming this month include Tom Clancys EndWar (May 11; releasing worldwide, except Japan), Command & Conquer 3 (May 18; Asia only), and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (May 25; Europe, Australia, and New Zealand only).
And finally theres new downloadable content coming for a variety of games. Lips gets the Miley Cyrus song pack on May 17 (440 points) adding four songs; Forza 3 gets the Exotic Car Pack on May 11 (400 points); Super Street Fighter IV gets the Super Shoryuken pack on May 13 (320 points) adding alternate costumes for Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken, and Dan; Dragon Age: Origins gets the Darkspawn Chronicles (400 points) which we know nothing about; and Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers gets its second expansion pack sometime this spring (400 points) adding new decks, cards, co-op levels, challenge levels, and Achievements.
