Peter Moore on Microsoft Xbox
IGN has landed an interview with Sega of America President Peter Moore, which will be featured in the August issue of IGN Unplugged. Two of the Q&As to be featured in the August issue have been posted at IGN Xbox. Check it, and dig it.When asked on what advice he would give to Microsoft, Peter Moore had this to say, "Microsoft, of course being the rookie, but not necessarily an inexperienced rookie or one that doesn’t have the will to win. What we like about Microsoft is their commitment to online, which we stood up and certainly applauded at E3.
"Were looking at how Xbox clearly differentiates itself with online which is what I think they’re going to do and I think that’s a smart move -- to be a box that will focus on online, community, and bringing people together. The price point is going to have to carry that at $299 where it goes. So I think there’s three very distinctive perspectives on each platform and, as with anything, what you do is make it clear to the consumer who you are, what you stand for, and what it costs."
I think IGN teases GameCube a little by saying that weve learned two things, GameCube is still for five year olds and Xbox is going to continue to push online support.
