Xbox 360 Tops March Home Console Sales
Xbox 360 was the "No.1 console in the US in March 2011, based on console and software sales", according to NPD data released by Microsoft.
433,000 360 units were sold, compared to 290,000 Wii units, 400,000 3DS units and 460,000 DS units. We’re looking for PS3 numbers now.
Microsoft said Xbox 360 console sales were up 28 percent year-over-year, and that total retail spend on the platform (hardware, software and accessories) hit $457 million.
It added: "We expect this momentum to continue throughout 2011. In the coming months, Xbox 360 owners can look forward to the arrival of Kinect-enabled Hulu Plus, as well as a diverse catalogue of new games."
