A chat with Epics Mark Rein
Mark Rein, vice-president of Epic had a online interview with Stomped.com the other day. In the interview he talked about what kind of improvements the Unreal engine will have on the Xbox. Here is just a smidgen of what was said.
"A few weeks ago Andrew showed me a test level where one scene in it had 27,000+ visible polygons and ran at normal game speeds on a GeForce. Jack Porter showed me a terrain level with distance fog enabled and the level was absolutely huge. Erik De Neve is working DX8-based hardware accelerated rendering system for our skeletal character animation system."
