New cross-platform gaming networkBran Huang and Lynn MacConnell, both former Sega.com executives are in the work of making a new ISP and Internet gaming portal called New Millennium Entertainment. With this new gaming portal you will expect to see a high-speed, low-latency network gaming experience, which will be able to hold a whopping 1 million simultaneous gamers and will be compatible for all gaming platforms, including the Xbox, PS 2, GameCube, and the Dreamcast.
"New Millennium is the antidote to generic Internet connections plagued with network lags that make online gaming nearly impossible. We will provide, online and in real time, gaming at the speed of light, giving gamers the bandwidth necessary for an uninterrupted competitive experience that maximizes what gaming is about: intensive graphics, nonstop fast action, and real-time command response."
The New Millennium gaming service will start doing some network testing in the middle of this month and will be launched before the spring is over.
