EB Announces $699.92 Xbox 360 Bundle
August 23, 2005 - While Microsoft has already announced their pricing plans for two separate Xbox 360 bundles, EB Games recently posted their own plans for a massive next-gen package. Titled "Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle" the offering caters to gamers with deep wallets and the uncontrollable urge to own every item released at launch. The bundle costs $699.92 and includes everything that comes with the $399.99 360 package along with: Kameo: Elements of Power Project Gotham Racing 3 Dead or Alive 4 Perfect Dark Zero Collector’s Edition Extra Wireless Controller Play and Charge Kit Rechargeable Battery Pack DVD Remote (limited time only) If the price of the bundle is equal to the price of its individual parts then it is likely that games will retail for $59.99 at launch. This is based on the fact that the DVD Remote comes with the more expensive 360 offering and the Play and Charge Kit includes a rechargeable battery pack. However, the individual game prices are also listed on EB’s web site for $49.99 each except for the limited edition of Perfect Dark Zero which is $59.99. The forced bundle is only applicable to online orders and not in-store purchases. EB’s web site states that the bundle will be available on November 15th of this year. While this is not confirmation of an exact release date, it does serve as further proof of a mid-November launch window. It also goes without saying that Kameo, PGR3, Dead or Alive 4, and Perfect Dark Zero are scheduled to be launch titles.
