Microsoft Reveals Live For Windows Pricing
Game Informer Online has learned from Microsoft the pricing details for its upcoming Live for Windows gaming service. If youre a PC gamer you might not be best pleased with what youre about to read. Just as with Xbox Live, Windows Live will cost PC gamers $49.99 for a year-long Gold membership. A single month will cost $7.99 and three months will set you back $19.99. No UK pricing has been released, but its likely to mimic that of the current Xbox Live pricing - £39.99 for a year. If youre already an Xbox Live subscriber then this membership will work for Windows Live as well, with your gamer tag and Achievements being used for both Xbox and PC games. Halo junkies will finally be able to get some gamerscore points; the Windows version of Halo 2 will include Achievements. A Silver membership will also be available and, just as with Xbox Live, this will be free. An official announcement is expected shortly.Source: http://www.pro-g.co.uk
