Crystal Dynamics chats about Xbox
Another one of our moderators FuNiOnZ, has found this news tidbit over at MSXbox. One of them must have picked up the latest edition of NextGen, because inside is an interview with Crystal Dynamics. Since MSXbox didn’t want to spoil the article for all you NextGen subscribers, they posted this clip instead:
"XBOX is one sweet machine. We’re developing on PC, but when we put it on XBOX, it looks better. I’ve never seen that before. On PS2, things look good, but they don’t look better. We had Blood Omen running just fairly well on PS2, and Microsoft was interested in seeing it. In two days we had it up and running on XBOX. It’s amazing.On PS2, Blood Omen was running fairly slow, and on XBOX it was running at 70fps. Some of the guys working on PS2 asked if they can have XBOX dev kits to develop with, because they’re more powerful than any of the PCs we can get"
