Paramount Extends Xbox Live Movie Deal
The deal will enable UK Xbox 360 owners who subscribe to Live to download-to-rent both high definition and standard definition Paramount movies such as Transformers from Tuesday February 19.Download-to-rent Paramount films will cost 250 Microsoft Points (£2) for standard definition movies and from 380 Microsoft Points (£3.20) for high definition movies.
Joining Paramount movies such as Primal Fear and Clear and Present Danger this spring will be further Warner Bros. films including Beowulf, The December Boys and Nancy Drew, Microsoft added.
“This announcement gives our Video Store customers in the UK an even greater choice of entertainment with a great level of HD movie quality, as always,” noted Robin Burrowes, Microsoft UK’s Xbox Live marketing manager.
“To deliver Paramount’s top films to people in their living room via a games console fits perfectly with our global digital distribution strategy,” said Alex Carloss, general manager of worldwide digital distribution for Paramount.
