Overall: Its an okay port into Madden. So many new things could be incorporated into the game but EA doesn't want to. Good game though. Gameplay: Gameplay is...eh...there are too many dropped passes for my liking. My game has frozen up on my a couple of times...wonder what that is? coughcoug Graphics: Visuals are the usual EA crap. I am very disappointed that they really feel no need to improve their graphics like 2k Sports...EA=teh gay Sound: Sound is okay at best. I do love the marching band playing the school song...but over and over and over...at least get a !&%$@#* remix..:P Suggestions: Better graphics, better sound, ablility to change divisions, and more in depth recruiting possiblilities.
Overall: Great game a few negatives aside. I would have given this game a 4.5 overall, but the EA servers brought it down to 4. I'll explain more in the gameplay section. Gameplay: The gameplay itself has few problems. Some say passing is to hard, but they're usually just not good at it. There are a number of dropped balls, but this is college. These guys are not professionals....they're amateurs. They drop more passes than guys getting millions in the pros. You can tell right away this years version is tougher than 2004 and will take more thought to pull off a victory.
Of course xbl increases the fun 1000 times. I've only played one game in dynasty mode, just having to much fun online. There is some slow down on the EA servers sometimes which is the main negative i've seen so far. Especially on field goals, punts, kicks. If it lags at that time then your timing will be thrown off and you'll miss the field goal, extra point or punt/kick it out of bounds. Graphics: The visuals are pretty much the same as last year. New celebrations, less penalties for using them and more oppurtunities to use them. The crowd looks better as well. Sound: Sound is fantastic. If a stadium is tough to play in in real life then it will be tough in this game. The crowd goes crazy. The screen will shake, your controller will vibrate. DON'T CHOKE!!! Suggestions: EA, FIX THE SLOW DOWNS/LAG ON YOUR SERVER. THIS IS YOUR MAIN PROBLEM. Other than that great game.
Overall: It's what college football is all about. The crowd, the hits, the plays. Its a great game with a few weak spots but still worth my 50 dollars. Gameplay: ok some slow down but all in all ok. Graphics: Same as last year with some improvments but still ok. Sound: Where it shimes the crowd is awsome! Suggestions: Better graphics but keep them comming
