Darksiders II Argul's Tomb DLC
by Brent RobertsThe cold, dead land ruled by the current Lord of Bones has revealed to me that he was not always the supreme ruler that the spirits fear now. I finally now have a chance to unravel the mystery behind this deceitful past which will take me to a once hidden prison of ice, Argul's Tomb. Many have tried to halt my path, but there are none who are beyond Death for my grasp is eternal and ever reaching. I don't know what dangers will be put before my feet, but I do know that I possess the skills and abilities required for me to solve this challenge. The reigning Lord of Bones and his doorstop steward have undermined me for the last time, and now I ride to seek the truth.
The first of what may be many obstacles in front of me is to seek the location of Argul's Tomb and uncover the mystery of the once great Lord of the Dead. My journey has led me to a massive mountain almost completely encased in snow and ice. There seem to be multiple paths to take upon my arrival but one of them is a door unlike anything I've seen before and there is something about this seal upon the door that I don't quite recognize. This makes me feel like a lamb before slaughter but I find solace in knowing that a familiar friend is also here with me. It is a mystery how his involvement is a priority but after hearing his tales and his riddles, one thing is certain, there is a power here that has been chained for countless years and it's a power that must be destroyed.
One tale that was told to me was the mention of a special key, a key which I can assume opens the seal to the locked door I found earlier. Without hesitation I made for the underground dungeon, knowing that whatever came across my path would understand what it felt like to feel the reaper's grasp. This dungeon would test my abilities in almost every aspect but using my skills there is no trap that is beyond my comprehension. One observation I've made as I navigate the halls and massive rooms of this dungeon is that the ice has actually penetrated through the mountain and in turn has seemed to freeze any and all opposition dead in its tracks. I wonder if this is natural or is there a reason that no one was meant to find this key?
For now though, enough of these talks about mysterious pasts and a hidden, exiled source of unimaginable power. Soon the secrets will be revealed and then no one will be able to stay my hand. This adventure will cost me 560 Microsoft points, but it is a mere pittance when compared to the value of wealth that will be obtained within. It is time to illuminate the shadow behind the Lord of Bones and find out for myself the real truth. For those who ask "Who made you judge, jury, and executioner?" I have two words for them "I did."
