What would you buy? A Sony 40' XBR picture tube TV or a Gateway 42" Plazma TV. They are both the same price. $3000. Which one is going to work best with the xbox? Please give me your comments. Thanks

Go with the one with better picture quality, better features (most support for HDTV, etc)... Had you put some specs on both tv's could help you out more..

Well it kind of depends on your room. The 40" Sony XBR weighs in at a hefty 300lbs. Not a moving friendly set. ;) The 42" Plasma is easier to fit into a room whether you use a stand or just bolt it to the wall. The plasma is also widescreen vs the Sony which is 4x3. If you are planning on watching alot of movies on DVD then you might be more inclined for the Plasma. The Sony will give you about a 36" widescreen image. (black bars on the top and bottom)
Plasma image might not be as crisp as the Sony but they will probably be pretty close. That Sony set can be found for under $2500 I might add.
PS, I fixed the thread title for you. :) Welcome to XBA.
