Gonna help you dawgs on dis one....
You need:
Cable, DSL, T1, or T3 connection
A Router, Hub, Gateway
Cat5 Cables (some should come with router)
Gamespy Arcade
Gamespy Tunnel
What You Do:
Turn on Computer and Router
Connect the Cat5 to the back of the XboX
Run Gamespy Click XboX
(If its Halo go to system link games and wait, when you connect to a game it should have the game come up there)
And there you have it

do you have to download the gamespy arcade software and gamespy tunnel software?
Msterrrr
01-05-2002, 07:49 PM
gamespy is free if you can stand the ads 20 dollars for banner free site
hub and cables going to run ya about 50 or 60 bucks depending on the lengths you need,,
go with a hub its a bit cheaper the switch
a switch is a lil smarter about directing info between 2 PCs thats all,, its not needed for this aplication

here this came from gamespy it has all the info you need there
gamespy.com
two network cards
If you do not want to use a hub, you can choose to use two network cards in the same machine. One network card will connect to your Internet connection, the other will connect to the console via a crossover cable. The second (console-connected) network card will need to be configured with TCP/IP enabled. You can use an IP address of "192.168.0.1" on it, a netmask of "255.255.255.0" and leave the gateway and other settings blank. Make sure you configure the GameSpy Tunnel application with the network card that is connected to the Xbox when asked to select one.
how are you connected online right now,,, btw
