Okay, so i just saw this on tv, and simply had to look it up on YouTube so my fellow forum-goers could see it.

Well it clearly is a much more logical commercial than peolple throwing water balloons at eachother.

I think the commercial is better than any of the 360 jump in crap, and the sales will back this up.

I actually thought that was pretty cool. It's like the return of Chucky or somethin'. I don't know... I'm having a tough time deciding on which console I wanna buy between the PS3 and the 360, these commercials are just making things worse for me.

And Cadillax...its a 8 core non-independent, meaning it runs as one rather than 8, 360 is tri-core independent

Yeah when i saw the baby ad on tv it made me laugh... It is frightening though. Had I not been with friends I may have been upset. It does make me hate it more though.

It is effective advertising. It has gotten our attention enough to discuss it, even as it is just a freaky commercial. We ourselves are spreading the commercial by posting it and talking about it. It's called viral advertising.

The baby one is stupid. If a parnet in the bible of belt of the usa see that ad they will not buy a PS3 for their kid. The Rubiks Cube ad was sweet.

Well the ad may be stuck in my memory, but the price of $600 is still stuck there as well. And that ad does nothing to make me want a PS3 at all, thats for sure.

Price doesn't matter for me. The only thing that pisses me off about it is the annoying controller. I'm sick of the Playstation style controllers. You'd think they coudl do something else with the style of the controllers.

I may end up selling the PS3 I get it, simply because of the controller.

That's not what sony want to do, sony want to sell consoles - not make people look at an ad and throw a few WTF's about.
We can talk about the ad, the consoles as much as we like - the ad has that part nailed I suppose, but there's no desire factor - you don't feel like you need a PS3, which is what they want.
The other ad linked before was much more effective, I actually felt like I wanted a PS3 after watching it.

Sony has plenty of money to throw around. This ad was intended to do exactly what it's doing, generating talk. This certain commercial may not make people want to buy it but it sure does a good job at stirring things up.

I myself liked the other commercial more as well. The only thing holding me back from wanting one is the controller. I guess I'll see how it all turns out when I get it.

it don't matter to me i am still getting 3 ps3's to sell on ebay it will take me many hours of waiting inline but it will be worth it

Most places will have a 1 per person limit so unless you have some nice friends or an instant cloning ability than you're probably going to end up with 1.
