RS: Vegas vs CoD 3

im picking up a 360 this week as soon as my circuit city gets them in stock (no interest till 2008, so i gotta get it there) and im kind of torn between which game to get. i will be picking up Project 8, i love tony hawk games and a first person shooter, then gears of war for christmas. anyways any ideas on which is better, Rainbow Six: Vegas or Call of Duty 3? I havent played call of duty 2 at all, and from the reviews, call of duty 2 got amazing reviews while call of duty 3 got lower scores everywhere i look. but it seems the only difference between the two games is better graphics and better online play for CoD 3.....obviously with a different story line for single player i would imagine.

anyways, lets hear it CoD 3 or Rainbow Six: Vegas.........oh yea, how is the co-op for each of these games?

Well if you had said you played COD 2 then it would have been a no brainer to go with rainbow 6. COD3 is almost a must have in your case. It really isnt all that much better than COD 2, but it definitely isnt worse which imakes this a super game for new 360 owners.

Rainbow Six seems to be loved by the original Rainbow Six fans. So if you played the original RB6 on the Xbox and loved it, you may want to think about checking out this title.

Summary - COD3. You gotta at least have COD2 or COD3 in your 360 collection. Rainbow Six is a definite must buy at some point but after COD.

it depends on if you liked Rainbow 6 3, Black arrow. or if you liked Call of duty 2.

Its hard to compare RS3 and Vegas. The gameplay seems sooo much better and doesnt feel like any of the older titles with more interaction and freedom of movement. My suggestion to save all explanation is rent them both and decide from there. IMHO I love WWII games especially Brothers in Arms (My favorite WWII game) but I am just getting sick of living in the past and love Vegas. Hell I played it today for 10hours (Yes I have no life, but I got wasted last night at the bar so HA).

I hope you love both games and find your true equal.

i played for a good 6 hours today. all of which online and 2 and half hours of it was in one room with about 4 other guys. it was so much fun. and i ranked up 2 times. from private second class to specialist and i only need one more bar to get to the next one.

thanks for the posts guys..........i think im really leaning toward CoD 3. after christmas i'll most likely have CoD 3, Project 8, Gears of War and prolly a racing game of some sort so that will be a solid start to a game colection. And actually i havent played any of the older Rainbow 6 games, but i really wanna try Vegas sometime.

sounds like a good lineup. for the racing i would definatley try Project gotham racing 3. its really good and even though it was one of the launch games it is still great fun.

and tonyhawk will give you carpel tunnel...i know..

Please listen to this advice, I love COD1-2 they were awsome games, but COD3 is awful, go with RS Vegas!

sounds like a good lineup. for the racing i would definatley try Project gotham racing 3. its really good and even though it was one of the launch games it is still great fun.

well see im hoping by the time that circuit city gets the premium 360s in that they get a shipment of PGR3 cuz this weeks ad is buy a 360, get PGR3 free.......we'll see how lucky i get

It's like the difference between Call of Duty 1 and Call of Duty:Big Red One

One is good, the other is pathetic.

There is a reason that COD3 isn't on PC....

I personally think that r6 vegas is a better game, the game play is great and it takes skills unlike cod3 where u can just spray, thats just my opinion

im takin ur word on this.......so if i get vegas and dont like it, u owe me 60 bucks. ok not really but ur point about COD not being on PC pretty much sold me on Vegas. thanks for ur input man, im getting Vegas tonight.

*edit* LOL ok so i went to get it tonight, didnt see it at gamestop, but saw GRAW for 30 bucks used and came home with it. i dont think i'll be disappointed tho, and i like that it has co-op. but i will eventually get Vegas soon.

Don't take is word.. COD 3 is awesome. Been playing COD3 non stop for the past few days.. single player on veteran and multiplayer. I always said the best single player game on the system was COD2 (provided you play on veteran). This is pretty much the same single player game.. but the multiplayer is SO much more improved. Up to 24 players.. several classes and over 20 different weapons in multiplayer. The gametypes are very well done..

I'm telling you the online for this game is fantastic, and is going to take over xbox live.

Yeah I don't see why people think COD3 is so bad. I have it and I enjoy it. I've never played COD or COD2 though.

How far did you play, Soda? I didn't like it very much at the beginning either but it seemed to pick up from there.
