Hey all, I had no idea you had to like sign up for the Halo 3 beta.... and now i am out of luck.

I am between jobs and cant really afford to go buy crackdown, so could some good fellow hook me up with a code?

I would help if I could but I never received a code either, I ended up buying Crackdown, as did the other 99% of the Halo 3 population, only like 20,000 people got into the beta without Crackdown. I doubt anyone will give you a code for free because only 13,000 were given out, worth a shot though.

i say you buy crackdown, then after the beta is over you have a great game to play.

you CAN rent crackdown and play halo 3 beta as long as your a xboxlive GOLD memeber. i already met 3 people last night during some slayer matches that were doing that. Apperantly crackdown isn't very fun on its own (to some).

Yeah, you can rent it, would be a lot cheaper. Good luck finding any in stock though, I'm pretty sure a lot of other people are thinking the same thing.

do you have any friends with it? You can play on their xbox with them.

I rented my copy of crackdown and my friend did the same thing. 30 dollars re-renting is cheaper than buying crackdown ( which i think blows ) for the beta.

Correct, the disc must be in the console in order to access the "Play beta" option. And remember, the beta only lasts until June 10th.

What a great idea to sell the beta with the game. Amazing the smarts that go into these games sometimes.
