OK, I bought a second controller, put the batteries in it, turned it on...but the green light just flashes(in all 4 quadrants). Unfortunately that's all it does.

How do I get it to work? :P

push the small circle button on the 360 (beside the 2nd memory card slot), then the small little one ontop of the controller. Voila, controller + system are now linked.

you press the small button on the 360 next to the memory card slots and then you press the small button located on the top of the controller, this syncs, the controller to the console.

It may have been those few extra words that slowed you down! Either that, or you need to take a speed typing test to improve that speed!

Any idea of how many possible "codes" there are between the console and controller?

I'm wondering if i have a few friends over,... will my controller be snyc'd with their console as well? If it's like a cordless phone, then there should be a couple of million codes.

Well you can have 4 controllers hooked up wirelessly to it.... Dunno why'd you want more, since no games will have split screen for more.

I meant if i had friends over, and they brought their 360's. I'm guessing Microsoft expected that people would have a LAN party, and programmed it to handle a lot of codes.

If not, i'll find out when they arrive and we're each turning on each others consoles!

controllers stay linked to the system they are "attached" to, so you wont have to worry if you have a LAN. You can move controllers from system to system whenever you want by reading above though.
