It seems with the release of Bioshock some gamers have discovered a flaw with the widescreen setting in Bioshock:

What's wrong with this picture? Well the normal area shows what the BioShock demo looks like on a widescreen monitor. The red areas show the extra space added when the game is played in standard 4:3 ratio. This is not how widescreen is supposed to work. Instead of slicing the top and bottom off of the image, widescreen should allow players to see more on either side. I have to agree with Paddy the Wak from the Widescreen Gaming Forum who posted the picture above - awwwww pants.

This was taken in the PC version of the game but the problem is present in the 360 version of the game too.

Didn't even notice it till I read about it online to be honest. It'll get fixed with a patch, so it's not really a big deal.

It doesn't really bug me. Oblivion was more zoomed in like that on 360 than it was on PC and I liked it more zoomed in on 360. But I can see why this will bug some people.
