This game looks awesome, but I can't see myself spending $60 if it isn't live.

yeah I know this is going to be hot I was looking at a trailer about this game the other day. but no multiplayer or any kind of online play.

So you guys don't play games that are great unless it has an online component?

No I didn't mean to say it like I need online play to buy a game but it would have been great to have multiplayer maybe be able to go through a level with a person from your friends list or something like that.

I get it. I may rent this one, beat it, and then give it back because honestly, I rarely play a whole game over again.

Sadly I have to agree assassins creed isn't something I might get if there is no online play...

see I told you matt that online play is good. I will be getting this game just the same I told a friend of minds that if they bring a demo out by next week this game will be a no brainer.

I would have liked co-op play but this is still a must buy game for me.

Of course I didn't waste fifty bucks just to talk to a friend in private chat while we run through the levels lol I might get it, but if cod4 proves to be better i might get that instead and rent this. I already crossed Americas Army off my list *buttons were to complicated and controls left something to be desired*

Online is all that matters. I could care less if Halo had a campaign.

I'm not into RPGs, so, this one is out for me. I like competitive on-line multi-player games... Even the Campaign for Halo 3 is on-line, which makes it awesome...and up to four total people.

The unpredictible nature of real players, to me, always surpasses the predictible nature of artificial intelligence in games like this.

I'm definatly on the side of those who are trying to make video games an artform. Singleplayer can be as intimate and moving experience as a well written book, or well made movie, and for that i can definatly engage myself in the single player universe. Im all about having fun, and live and MP, but that will never elevate past the status of SPORT. I'm looking to see if i can find art, and theres a few games out there who, IMHO have achieved that.

Then again, not too many people these days can sit in a room by themselves and read a novel, so game developers can't really hope to achieve mass commercial success with today's MTV-esque, ADD attention span.....:(

Suffice to say, ill pick this one up, but not till the holidays ( i got three red lights...again)

I've been playing the game, and so far let me tell you all. It rocks. I haven't seen any multi player, but it does have a strong single player campaign. I'll try and post my review ASAP and let you all know.

Although Assassin's Creed does appear to have the potential to be a moving single player experience, I can't imagine me dropping 60 big ones on it. I'm a huge fan of replayability and I just don't seem to get that with single player restricted games. I'll probably snag it during Christmas or might just wait for the price to drop. Who knows, I might even buy it on impulse...I gotta stop carrying around money damnit!

I'm like that to, unless its a game like Mass Effect or KOTOR. Because those games turn out differently depending on the choices you make.

I've seen this game in motion and looked pretty good, even though it was an early build. My only problem is the controls.

I'm definately thinking about getting it. I could care less about multiplayer since I enjoy a good story (game or novel). So single player is where it's at for me. :)

I just bought CoD4 and paid for Blacksite. I'm also getting Mass Effect so I'll have to pass on this one for now.

EDIT: So I couldn't resist. I bought Assassin's Creed tonight. I jus got into it but the game has an Epic feel to it. The city feels alive when you are walking around. Superb graphics.
