You'll have to download a PDF file from Xbox.com and then mail it into Microsoft to get the transfer cable. And honestly, I am not sure why they werent packed in since they are packed in with the individual 170 GB HDD.

The only difference is the color and the inclusion of the 120 GB HDD. Other than that, the guts are the same as the other 360 bundles you can buy. It used to be the inclusion of HDMI support, but that has since changed since the newer 360's now include that as well.

If your elite has a born date after September, than you should be alright as it will have the new inards. But if its before Spetember,then your Elite can experience the same exact problems as the pre-september original 360's.

You are fine with that newer bundle yes.

Fact is that Elite have had virtually any issues at all, even the launch ones due to the new board (HDMI).

Yea its nice to have the new chip, but the board alone fixed a lot of problems (all systems are elites now inside really, hence the major decrease of issues)

Eh, dont give him false hope if he doesnt have a new chipset elite. I have a few buddies who got Elites on launch and they have all sent them in with the red lights of death syndrome. Here's to hoping mine holds out as I do not have the new chipset in mine either.

You dont need HDMI to get 1080p if your TV supports 1080p through component cables. My 42" LCD does not require me to use HDMI, even though I have 3 HDMI inputs on the TV. I can use standard composite cables and still select 1080p as my resolution.

I dont see either number on the XBOX itself. Is this some semi hidden id printed on the XBOX? The manufacture date is 8/2007. Can you bring up something while playing the console?

You're tv has to be able to do 1080p. 1080p can be done with the component cables included, or VGA/HDMI

Not true. Some falcon 360's have the 203w power cord. Mine is a verified Falcon(I did the flashlight trick) and has a 203w brick along with a December 2007 build date and the lot number is higher than 740.

What is the flash light trick? Im not able to find either number on the 360 anywhere. I think Im looking at the spec plate but not really sure.

I did it awhile ago so I can't find it anymore doing google searches.

However, one of the best ways to tell is by simply looking at the power brick, not the box because some boxes still say 203W even if the actual power supply has a max of 175w making it a falcon. :cool:

It made me very broke though, so all I could manage to get with it was Perfect Dark Zero. Halo 3 is in the post, PES8 will come by my next pay check and I'm borrowing CoD4 from a mate tomorrow.

Love everything about the system so far. Great to be back on Live after so many years and I'm loving the demo downloads.
