Xbox 360 dominating software sales. Wii holds it's own. PS3 is lagging..as usual.

In February at least half of the top 10 selling video games were on the Xbox 360.

Call of Duty 4 for the 360 is at the top of the list. While the PS3 version (of CoD4) is nowhere to be found on the list. At least the PS3 has "one game" on the list; Devil May Cry 4 which by the way is a horrible game IMO. I took it back to the store the day after someone bought it for me :rolleyes: :

The PS3 did make some hardware sales as a "Blu-Ray" player but other than that noone seems interested.

Well they price about the same, but let's be honest; the Xbox 360 does what it is supposed to do "plays games" and it does a damn good job of it. The PS3 is a Blu-Ray player first and foremost. That's what most people buy it for.

Factor in how superior Xbox Live is to PSN, downloadable content, better controllers, stronger GPU which translates into better graphics, smooth gameplay, etc. and you see why software sales are soaring for the 360. I'm sorry but most people don't need a DVD on steroids with a fancy name(i.e. Blu-Ray). If they want better pictures they buy an upconverter for the collection they already own. Or just download the movies. *shrugs*

Microsoft just needs to fix the hardware reliablity problem, keep churning out hits and it will be smooth sailing. :cool:

The Ps3 needs more games (Good AAA ones) & once it gets them this year, it & they will sell better... Until then, the 360 will keep dominating the software charts.

Also what hurts the PS3 is that the system is difficult to make games for when devs are finding it really easy to make games for the 360. So if software drives hardware then the 360 is killin' em right now.

Oh and of course the XboxLive thingie has really taken on a life of it's own.

Hey the most important thing about "gaming" consoles is "the games" and how well they are played. So far the 360 games run the smoothest and have the best graphics. Hell, everyone I know owns a 360 with tons of games to go with it.

Like I said my only problem is the damn reliability issue. People are tired of their **** breaking. If Microsoft fixes this they will only rake in even more money.
