Well, looks like the time has come that folks have been sitting on pins and needles for. An announcement is expected on Monday regarding the EA/Take-Two buyout. Its expected that the announcement will be that the deal has been completed and will move forward.

Again, speculation, but I wouldnt be surprised if this happens.

This doesn't sound good at all. It sounds like EA is trying to create a monopoly.

EA should change their slogan from If its in the game, its in the game (whatever it is). To, If we can't beat them buy them.

Well, the GTA series was good while it lasted.

Now the money grovelling gob ****e monopoly of the gaming industry is now once again restricting the market and boning themselves in the process.

This isn't good news for a consumer.

Money is 2K execs pocket as they decide its time to retire. LOL!

Been watching for any news and so far nothing. Still early on the west coast though.

Seems the offer has been extended another month, but the offer is still the same as it was before.

Market competition is what gives us a choice of good games. No competition will ever emerge with EA in this position, and EA will have no reason to give developers any extra time or money to improve games.

2K sports is not competition for EA. With exception of the basketball title, EA beats 2K by leaps and bounds in every sports game. 2K should be ashamed of the products they have put out over the last few years.
