E3 2005 Faceplates for $13

Ok so I was a bit skeptical about these, but they seem to be legit, someone on ebay has about 10 of them at a buy it now price of $3.74 with $9 s/h, he claims they are new and are missing the cable doors... how something can be new but missing things is beyond me. Anyways I purchased one against my better judgement and sure enough its the real deal, even though in the picture the door is missing where it says E305 limited edition it was there when I got it in the mail today. Some pics below. You guys tell me if you think they are fake. Either this guy has no clue the goldmine he is sitting on, or they are really well done fakes.

I don't know the number as it was not shipped with the original E3 packaging.

You can use this thread as a reference. One of our members here had the same issue come up. Hope it helps. Based on the coloring, I would say its fake, but if it is, at least you aren't out a few hundred dollars. :)

Ah yes I see it is fake, thats fine I'm no collector I just really liked the e3 05 design but wasn't willing to fork out insane amounts of money for one. This way I get an almost 100% identical copy for a fraction of the price.

Sadly, the plates themselves aren't numbered. The numbers are on the packaging.

Personally, if I don't get the packaging with it, or I can't document 100% that it came from E3, I wouldn't spend ANYTHING on it, unless you just want a white plate with green rings. Don't kid yourself that it's "almost as good as" an E305 plate. It's a cheap Asian knockoff and nothing more.

That's the same reason I just finally got a "The Outfit" plate after all this time, and still don't have a Call of Duty 2 or Quake IV plate. An exact Asian knockoff STILL isn't the same as knowing you have the real deal.
