Fake faceplate thread?

why don't we start up a thread where we can say what faceplates we have and if we have any doubts about them can compare them with other peoples

note the flaws etc,
so people buying from ebay and such know what to look out for to avoid being conned?

We've done a little bit of that but they're spread out so they are kinda hard to find.

The problem with bootlegs and the like is that they're virtually identical to the originals. It's usually only the packaging that is different. Some company in China will make them for their customer, and then once that is done, they simply make a few... thousand... more. If you want to guarantee authenticity, buy it from someone who's word you trust, or make sure it comes with/came in the original packaging.
