Ok this is probaly in the wrong place, but i got issues...
heres my story:
Ok on maybe June 20, my xbox 360 froze two times playing Mercenaries 2
I restarted it and 5 min in i got the 3 flashing lights :yikes: :cry:
I called that day and i thought they were gonna send me a box :)
But 4 days and nothing
I call again and they tell me to take it to the UPS so i do and everything goes good
its been 5 days since, im not worried or anything but after reading some stuff ive heard that people have it happen again and again after repairs.
the staus is its being shipped i dont wanna get a crap refurbished xbox

As long as your warrenty is still valid, and you have not removed the Microsoft label from behind the faceplate, your good.
MS does not supply boxes anymore.
I just sent mine in a couple of weeks ago. Takes about 5-7 buisness days total. They are changing out the power supplies also, so you will notice a different power sticker.

I just did mine shortly ago and was sent a box no problem, so....

From the day it left my house to the day I got it back was just under 2 weeks total (but I'm in Canada, so it may be different here)

He meant the 360's now have a new board/chip that have basically fixed the previous issues.

No.. Most of the RROD is from lack of heat dissapation from the chips.. they overheat.. MS will either replace the board or send a console thats already redone.. they know their messup and are working on it.. luckily they fixed those issues with the newer 14v consoles..

I got the RRoD, sent mine in, and 2/3 weeks later got my xbox back. I was excited to have it back (although dissapointed because it took more than half a month for them to fix it) and the first time i turned it on it freezes up and turns off. Wow. It has continued to do this and it really bothers me. One time on CoD 4, I was playing multiplayer and had gotten a couple THOUSAND xp. when it turned off before I could save it. They fixed the problem and sent me a useless live coupon, but they made even more problems that are in some ways worse because now I don't want to send it back in and wait another 1/2 to 1 month before I get it back.:mad:

Better to do it now/August when there isn't many game releases coming out, cause once September hits, you won't wan to be without your system
