View Full Version : REMINDER: Battlefield 1943 on Arcade

Just a little reminder that Battlefield 1943 went live on Xbox Live Arcade today. It will cost you 1200 Microsoft Points but in my opinion its worth every one of those points. Be sure to join in on the challenge that starts on Friday versus the PS3. We want the Xbox 360 to be the first community to get 43 million kills and unlock Coral Sea.

SOMEONE DONATE ME 1200 POINTS! I know someone was supposed to but that fell THROUGH!

I am still debating on getting it. I just don't know if I will have the time to play it with the Gears DLC hitting live July 28th. :confused:

Been playing a few hours now, this **** is awesome, it's classic BF but just stripped down a little, great fun though

Bad Company was good, but I much prefer the old style gameplay of the original Battlefield games. If I had the choice, even though its only an arcade game, I would play BF1943 over Bad Company. But the two have a lot of similarities when it comes to onlineplay.

It's different. It's old school 1942 play style, but watered down for a console audience

well i hope that the server issues get resolved shortly. thankfully they already have addressed some of the "connection" issues, but that kill counter appears busted or at least not updated. Its been the same number for over a day now lol.

the updated counter is on battlefield1943.com, not the ticker ingame (not realtime)

Yeah, at last check, Xbox 360 was up by 11 million on the PS3.

Xbox 360 - approx. 27,000,000
PS3 - approx. 16,000,000

As of the this moment..... The score is.....

Xbox 360 - 33,373,192
PS3 - 18,247,798

Just under 10 million to go for the Xbox 360. This challenge will be done on Wednesday at which point you will get an extra menu option called "Air Superiority". To play Coral Sea you will have to select this option otherwise you just play on the regular 3 map rotation.

Honestly the game could have easily been put on a retail shelf for $30. Its that much fun and its classic Battlefield. Plus a 4th map will be open sometimeon Tuesday for the Xbox 360.

Sure its a little watered down, but its stll got retail qualities that make it well worth the $15 in my opinion.

Coral Sea is only in the "air superiority" catagory.
