Battlefield 1943's weapons will be making the jump to DICE's incoming Bad Company 2, according to a recent Tweet from the Swedish developer.
Currently transfixing gamers on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, Battlefield 1943 is a triumphant return to the WWII scenery of earlier instalments in DICE's multiplayer series.
Bad Company puts a single player twist on the gunplay, and the sequel looks to improve on what's already a formidable formula – the first game's mix of wry humour, open-ended combat and exquisite weaponry seriously impressed us.
Bad Company 2 will inherit 1943's semi-auto rifle, sniper rifle and sub machine gun, according to the game's official twitter (spotted by Joystiq).
The game's due towards the end of the year
