I am really excited about this one, as if you can't tell by my sig. I have been waiting on this since '05 when it was announced. Looks really good. I like the concept alot.

The hands on preview of the game at this years E3 has this as one of my most anticipated games for the 360.

I've been watching this story develop for the last couple of years and it's certainly peaked my interests.

The screenshots I've seen are well done and the idea seems unique enough but my concern is the game play....does anyone know what we're in for here?

What style of game are we to expect and how will it play....we've all been down the over-hype road and been burned a few times. If you have any links or additions post them for all to read.

Thanks for that, it does look stunning (and did anyone get nostalgic for the Police Quest Series when running through the bushes...or am I the only one old enough to remember the series?)

i'll be getting this just b/c of the collectors edt. imo this game has a ton of hype to live up to. how many years did we have to wait through the hype for too human? that was a title that was supposed to be out on the N64 and look what we ended up with. I'm not saying that this game will be like that, I'm just saying that it has a lot of hype to live up to and unf. I do not forsee this game being worth the years of hype (imo). I think this game will be good, but if you have over 5 years of development time, then it should be a game for the ages, not something that is "good but not great". only time will tell.

Well the ultimate test will be if WE enjoy it. I've come to learn throughout my years of gaming that you have to take what "previews" and "reviews" say w/ a gain of salt. I've played games that I've enjoyed but have gotten destroyed by IGN, and I've also played games that I've hated that IGN has praised. How many people remember the controversy with GTA? The fact that they are going to work on DLC makes me nervous. I start hearing things like that and it makes me wonder: 1) if the DLC will be something that could have been included originally and they are just trying to milk the consumer? 2) will it be a prologue to an upcoming sequal? 3) cost? 4) are they going to release an AW with all the DLC then and up the cost of the game to keep it fresh like SWTFU or RE5?

I like the new twist on this game, but if they are going into the realm of horror, then they have a lot to contend against. Bioshock, Dead Space, Resident Evil, all of these have made a def. name for themselves in the realm of horror, and we have had mammoth flops as well (the same can be said for all genres though). We will see what happens as this game gets closer to release, but if IGN says its good, then that's what they think.
