Is anyone else extremely hyped for this game as well? I can't stop thinking about this game it looks really nice and its the only game I know that can get so complicated and can have imported saves between games. I'm definitly looking forward to all the new changes and the different endings is definitly going to have me play this for quite a while

Every copy of the game has Cerberus card. Nobody knows exactly what you will get but I'm excited. I really like how Bioware actually listened to the problems and fixed it. New characters are really complex and I love it.

Techinically if you haven't heard yet the armor system is a lot different. Normally most armor in the game is just cosmetic which you can change colors and camo and head gear and such now. Although what does matter is the armor upgrades you pick up so there will be a lot of different kinds of attachments you can add to make it better. Also apperently if you pick up a nice weapon and equip it. It copies over to your team mates so they get it also.

Yeah, but then I wouldn't have any other games than Fallout 3, which is fun for a few hours, :P but i'm an online person. I'll probably end up getting FFXIII if and when I get the money, don't get me wrong ME2 was fun as hell, I played through the first one four or so times the first week I got it. But that was kinda the downside, after the second time I started doing the evil and good ending/all quests or at least most of them, kinda bored me to tears.

The first Mass Effect I can only say is the greatest game I've never finished.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get into the second one more than I did the first and hopefully I won't be too lost in not knowing exactly what's going on (or why) due to not finishing the story of the first in the series.

Still, can't wait to give it a try!

It's not a matter of not being able to play, but more as to not knowing exactly what is going on and why that I am going to have to work through.

Without a doubt, playing through the first one will yield some advantages as far as the story of the game goes.

No matter, however, as I still can not wait to pop it into the system and lose a lot of sleep over the next few days!

I'm not really a big RPG guy... I'm liking this game quite a bit.

I'm having a little trouble with research.. the things I have available (like 7 things, weapon upgrades, ship upgrades) all cost WAAAY to much.. like one thing cost 10,000 of something, and i only have 2,000 of it.. that ship upgrade is like 50,000 and I only have like 3,000... how do I collect more of that stuff, and I am not even sure how I got what I got in the first place haha

I also picked up Dragon Age a week ago, and almost didn't get ME2 because i didn't want to stop playing DA altogether as I usually do with games when I get new ones. But I like how these two games are still quite different and offer different things even though both are RPG's.

When you see planets, go to then and hold LT to start scanning, when your controller starts to vibrate and the readings spike, then use RT to send a probe and that's how you gather materials. The planet will say if its Rich or Moderate or Poor in resources (just ignore poor)

I just picked mine up yesterday. Thing is...since my xbox was stolen, I started playing ME1 but didn't finish it before I gave it to my bro...But I did grab a copy from Blockbuster. Now I have to wait to finish the first one before I start the second one. I'm even wondering if I should play through it again before starting ME2. Does anyone know how long ME1 is if I just play through the main story line and ignore everything else? I only have the game til Monday.

Yeah, I have to manually load up the autosave. SMH Then on top of that, it seems that they designed the text to damn near unreadable on an SDTV.
