Hello Guys, Look what I found.
According to an unnamed source who is "very close" to the company (are there any other kind of unnamed sources?) Microsoft will reveal their successor to the Xbox 360 during CES 2012 this coming January. The reveal is said to not be a "huge announcement" but instead is just "some information on the new console, and some of its capabilities".
Speaking of those abilities, the report claims the system will have a hex-core CPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and a GPU provided by AMD.
While I don't doubt that Microsoft has a new console in the works (they most likely started early development before the Xbox 360 launched) I'd be surprised to hear anything official about it until just prior to E3 2012 at the earliest. The 360 has picked up the sales pace during 2011 and with the Wii U being fully revealed at the next E3 there is no threat of a new console launch to spoil Microsoft's fun until late Summer or Fall next year.
seems interesting...
