Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic is slated for release on Xbox during Spring 2003 and, despites what we already do know, there’s so much more we don’t know. In helping to clear up some of the confusion on the game’s combat system Bob McCabe, one of BioWare’s Quality Assurance testers, let loose a few noteworthy details on the combat system in the official forum. Specifically it was said that while there will be hits, misses, dodges and parries for everything, the game will also feature special attacks. He added that while players will be able to have three party members, that only two will be able to be used at any given time. Check out the words from the horses mouth below.
“One other thing - there will be hits and misses and dodges and parries for everyone, but there will also be special attack type stuff that will allow for unique battles, more visual goodness, and lots of strategy.
One clarification is that your party is a party of 3, so you cannot take advantage of 3 hirelings. You would be limited at 2 at any given time.”
