Those values arent always accurate, or even close for that matter. Alot of the plates he has listes as very common are hard as hell to find. For example that butterfly cheery plate, ive seen it once on ebay over this past year and it went for like 40 dollars. Its listed at like 8 dollars. Same with chromehounds being worth 45, when its more like 150- 200

i see...so the harder you find in the market (depends on condition), it will affect the price. Cause his price doesn`t reflect the current price in the market, right.. much more as a guidance before buying your fav faceplate. If its cheaper..then go for it

I bought fourteen of those for four bucks a piece from one guy and used them for customs. Then they disappeared and I only rarely see one at a time now.

Same with saints row plates... they are by no means rare, but there were several lots of 10+ plates going for a while. Now they are all alone and not to many come up. Still a worthless plate though...

I went to mail Nato's GTA IV plate to him: UPS, $101. I said forget that. USPS, $19.50 Priority. Much better.

I also have started playing with the database. First time hands on. Nothing to report yet, though.

I need to ask Tacohead if he actually has a blue rings Virgin plate, or if he just got a pic. I've never actually seen one and thought maybe they decided not to do it. I have a picture of two Final Fantasy X faceplates from the back of some packaging that to my knowledge were never made either.

I don't know about that one. I'd have to look around.

I need a lot of info on the four Adidas plates for the database: World Cup, +5, +10 and Blue. What were they from, where were they from, any other info, etc.

So I e-mailed the seller and he said that he not longer has the case for the e3 plate. He said he was really sorry and knocked 20 bucks off the price. Now that has to be a great deal. 55 for both E3 and Zero Hour.

So now I am in market for a e3 case. Anyone have an extra? I bet that will be hard to find.

It probably will be. I have one open (still have the case) and another one sealed (in the case). The case is the part with the number x/5000 or x/500 if you're REALLY lucky. The plates themselves aren't numbered, so without the original case, there's no way to know what number plate it is. They're all the same as far as I know, so if you did manage to find a case by itself, no one would be the wiser.

Wolfie, I set up two threads that are stickied. "Heads Up" is for items that haven't closed yet, where you want to share the info with the rest of the collectors. "Dealz!" is for plates that HAVE closed and went for cheap, or for plates that you added to your collection that you got for a steal. Not having a cow, just letting you know there is some kind of method behind the madness. At this point, "Dealz!" gets kinda overlooked and almost everything has been going into the other thread, including off-topic stuff a lot of the time.

For instance, a couple of weeks ago, I added a New Zealand Saints Row plate to my collection for $140. On one hand, that's a deal. On the other hand, it's not excatly $25 for a SupCom plate like someone got the other day. Now THAT was a deal. But, it wouldn't have been appropriate to put that in the Heads Up thread, since it wasn't a notice for everybody to "go get it if you want it." It was gone already.

Anyway, not having a cow. Just a gentle nudge in the right direction.
