Sega Countdown Site Teasing Xbox 360 Action Game
Following in the footsteps of industry greats like Kojima Productions and Bungie, Sega appears to be using a countdown on a website to tease an upcoming project.
Japanese gaming news site Andriasang stumbled upon the website in question, which is currently counting down to something happening nine days from now. The site’s URL, http://next-360action.sega.jp/, would suggest that the countdown is related to a new action game for the Xbox 360, but the small amount of text on today’s updated version of the page says, "Today is count 9. There is something you can see from the URL. Definitely try and take a guess."
What that means, exactly, is anyone’s guess. Might there be some form of riddle cleverly tucked away in that 22-character domain name? Or could we all be over-thinking this, and it’s simply telling us to take the URL literally? Tomorrow will most likely bring further hints, so stay tuned.
