EA Partners Signs Insomniac Games!
Xbox 360 owners pining for a title from Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance developer Insomniac Games can finally rest a little easier. Electronic Arts announced today it has inked a deal with Insomniac to make the PlayStation-focused studios upcoming all-new franchise a multiplatform release.
As part of its EA Partners program, EA will publish the upcoming title that it says will introduce a whole new universe from Insomniac, whose franchises have sold a combined 35 million copies worldwide. The as-yet unnamed game is now in production at Insomniacs Burbank studio.
"Working with EA Partners allows us to extend the reach of our games to a multiplatform audience while retaining ownership of the intellectual property," said Ted Price, founder and CEO of Insomniac Games. "We are excited and eager to introduce Insomniac to a new group of gamers while reinforcing to our loyal fans what makes our games special."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, other than Prices comment that Insomniac would retain ownership of its new IP. Details and ship timing for the new game were not announced.
