Checking out of the Asylum.Well.. hmm.. how to say this. Times change, people change and interests changes. Its a fact of life. Everything in life changes constantly, some for the good and some for the bad. Well time has come for a change here at XBA. What your reading (for those of you who actually care) this will be the last piece of news on the frontpage that youll be reading from me, as myself and a few others are checking out of the Xbox Addict Asylum.
In the beginning stages of this site it began with a great group of guys stoked on a product so much, that we decided to devote countless hours to creating (what we thought) would be a great fan site. Our hopes and dreams were big.. "take on the world!!!" we thought (or at least try to). Well...I personally have grown weary of digging the ditches in hopes of the rains to come and send something back our way. As with anything in life.. money has come into play here at XBA. Money that some of us either dont have and/or refuse to pay to keep this money pit going. Yes ladies and gentlemen.. it costs money to run sites of this size. In my situation, it has been a constrant stress running this site, trying to compete or even keep up with the others, and maintain a full time job and a so called life. This strain has (IMHO) placed a strain on a long friendship among myself, Stephen, Chris and Tom. And pardon me for saying so.. but friendships are worth a helluva lot more than running a fing website with no support.
So to keep this short and sweet. Its been really fun (and hellish), Im still going to be a part of the XBA Asylum (props to all you addicts out there that are standing by us!! You rule!) and who knows, I may end up at a new home somewhere else out there on the web. For now Stephen, Mark, Aaron and the other guys will be your hosts. Please show them the respect they deserve. This is your host signing off.
