Terminator X Interview
Although the Terminator in the sequel of blockbuster selling hit said "Ill be back," something told us that was also going for the video games. As we have all already known, Infogrames holds the licensing rights to develop the next generation of Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day films for all next-generation consoles. What we didnt know is what it was going to be called, on what system the franchise would find a home on, and when it would be confirmed. We know all of that now, especially since it has been confirmed. You can call it Terminator Episode 1 to make fun of Star Wars, or simply refer to it as Terminator X. Yes, thats right, youre reading it on a Xbox site and it has an X at the end of it, its for the Xbox! Terminator: Dawn of Fate is its true working title and it will be a third person action game that follows an original storyline set in the Terminator Universe. In Dawn of Fate, players will get to participate in the helm of all the chaos and get a close up, as close as they can get, to the skeletal robots developed by Skynet known as, the Terminators.
Being developed by Paradigm, the game hopes for a late spring 2002 release, and it should bring you the same intense adrenaline rushing gameplay all the Terminator games have. To get in-depth with the details on this game, IGN Xbox has an exclusive interview with Infogrames Senior Producer, Francois Lourdin. Heres a snip:
IGN: Will players encounter either of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator characters? Why or Why not?FL: The player will have to face not one, but several, T800 model 101 (codenamed "Infiltrators"), along with tons of new and original enemies unique to Terminator: Dawn of Fate.
