Uh? E3 Coverage?
Well, as you probably saw that our E3 coverage was mainly press releases and stuff, but not much coming from us personally. Like my good friend Kevin explained kindly in the forums..."We stayed in a nice P.O.S. motel", with a SLOW internet connection. So updates were not an option at 56K speed, trying to upload 10MB of photos! When we arrived on Tuesday May 21st, we headed to Hollywood to see Star Wars Episode 2 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, WOW! The movie was…ok, but the theatre was awesome! If you ever get a chance to go…GO! The next morning, most of us slept in, why? Because we all live on the east coast! There is a a three hour difference, and got lost a few times. We hadn’t been there in three years. (-: That day we visited with just about every Xbox game publisher to make sure that they knew who XBA was. And you know, most (95%) of them knew who we were, that was a nice felling. We ended being on video game overload for the next day or so. Overall the trip was piles of fun. We took all kinds of photos of us (the gang) even brought the camera to the Xbox party to make up for the lack of updates. There is no excuse really why we didn't keep you guys updated, but we were there to cultivate the fruits of our hard work. TO PARTY! (-: We were VIP'd to the Microsoft Xbox party on Wednesday night. Where lots of alcohol was consumed (they only had American beer, which equals water..hehe), a lot of dancing, loud music and scantily clad women dressed as tinker bell style fairies roaming around and dancing with most of the lonely nerds who attended the party. All of the important peeps were stashed away in even more VIP rooms that required some sort of sexual favour to get in. And well... we're just not that type of guys. The highlights of our trip, were going Hollywood, and going to Six Flags Magic Mountain. In Hollywood, we tried to see/meet ANY famous person, heck Pee Wee Herman would have done. Although, we did see Gary Coleman, Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman at the show….but we saw no famous people in Hollywood, go figure. Our guess is they are trying to stay away from people like us. Myself, on the way back home on the plane, I saw (didn’t meet) Martin Short from SNL. Kevin and Chris claimed they saw Meg Ryan, but I personally think that they were too tried and THOUGHT they saw her…just kidding guys. I’ve been personally really tried from this E3 trip, and so has Chris and Kevin….our feet hurt. In the next few days we will be adding all the new games we saw at the show, for you check out and start rating with eXcitement! There are lots of them!
