Opinions from overseas
Computer and Video games brings us opinions from the UK today on the recent showing of the Xbox in Seattle. They not only voice their own opinions of what the guys at CVG think, but also some UK developers! From good to great there is at least 12 different opinions and comments about the Xbox. Here’s a little snipplet of what Joe McDonagh, the design manager from Elixir Studios had to say about it."Very impressive. The thing I thought was most impressive was the choice of titles; they’ve obviously thought about the games they need to launch a successful console. I mean you’ve got your racing game, your RPG and the like. "I don’t know how much more they have up their sleeves, but I’m really surprised they haven’t gone out and bought one of the major Japanese publishers like Sega, Konami or Capcom, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they still did. In terms of the machine being a success, every dealing we’ve had with Microsoft has been extremely impressive. They’ve been very humble, which is refreshing, and their major charm offensive has already got them a staggering roster of developers."
