GamePen’s Gamestock Wrapup
GamePen did a great Gamestock wrapup today reviewing all the games that were there. The main difference with this review was that they got detailed. They reviewed every single game with great accuracy and a little humor. They also show some pretty kick ass screen shots with their review. Here’s a little sample of what they had to say about the Xbox and the games being released for it.The Xbox hardware running at Gamestock 2001 was Alpha2 hardware, featuring only 50% of the speed of the final units. Nevertheless, the Xbox titles ran like scalded cats, and were all gorgeous to a fault. The issue was not so much with the presentation of the initial Xbox games, but rather the designs themselves. Microsoft is taking a very conservative stance with their initial offerings - each title is firmly within an established console genre.
