Starship Troopers Website Launches
Empire Interactive and Strangelite Studios have launched the official site for their upcoming FPS game, Starship Troopers. While a bit sparse at this point, the newly launched site does contain some new photos of the game as well as a trailer. The game, which was originally scheduled to ship during the Holiday 2004 season, is now targeting a Spring 2005 release after being pushed back in July. Starship Troopers will deliver the bug smattering action fans of the movie have longed for, especially after the less than popular RTS game Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy which was developed by Blue Tongue and published by Hasbro Interactive. The new game from Strangelite Studios and publisher Empire Interactive will hopefully allow Roughnecks to blast their way through hundreds of bugs thanks to the game’s advanced engine.
