Rumble Roses Online
Rumble Roses Online Initial shots and video footage may not have made Rumble Roses XX look like the most impressive of Xbox 360 titles, but producer Akari Uchida, in an interview with the latest issue of Famitsu Xbox, reveals that the game is entirely new. He jokes, in fact, that the only things reused for the X360 version are the character names and personalities. Going into details, Uchida reveals that the cast of wrestlers has been completely remodeled for XX, and this doesnt just mean filling in the details in the PS2 models. Due to the high definition output of the X360, his team had to retouch all areas of the models. Uchida states that while the previous game had a "manga taste," the new one looks more realistic. Still, we can expect further improvements as the team makes use of the systems more complex visual routines, including normal mapping and bump mapping. Rumble Roses XX will also include some big gameplay improvements. Although we cant count on seeing too many new characters, we can look forward to tag team matches, with the game having no problem showing four characters on screen simultaneously. AI is being improved, with each character having her own character-specific routines. Despite the improvements to AI, nothing beats a human opponent. Xbox Live functionality will, thankfully, be a big part of the game. Uchida and his team are aiming to allow players to create their own groups, giving the feeling of a pro wrestling team. This is a feature that fans of the original have asked for through feedback forms. One more cool feature touched upon by Uchida concerns wrestling arenas. Rather than limiting fights to the ring, Konami will be taking the fight outdoors, allowing you to spar in the desert and in ruins. Sadly, there wont be any mud wrestling in the game, but we can expect some other surprises to make up for it. Uchida wont comment on a final release date for Rumble Roses XX, but he does state that he hopes to have a new Rumble Roses game out every year at about the same time. This would suggest a possible Japanese release of February 2006 for the Xbox 360 game.Source: http://www.ign.com
