Xbox Live Going Down In Preparation For Relaunch
Microsoft has today announced that this Monday (October 24th), both Xbox Live and Xbox.com will be offline for a day in preparation of an updated launch of the official Xbox website and the November/December launch of Xbox 360. A week later on November 1st a new section on the official site, My Xbox, will launch with a raft of new features tailored to Xbox 360. According to a breakdown on the official site My Xbox will allow a level of integration of stats and records achieved by gamers as well as their Gamer Profile from the Xbox 360 dashboard. The system has the capability for players to compare their achievements with those on their friends list (an end to the age old “I’m better than you” arguments) and even view their performance on the Xbox 360 title that they’re currently play. Future updates to other Microsoft sites such as My Spaces will enable gamers to drop Live details including their Gamer Profile and Friends List into the page, so get ready for closer integration in a few weeks time…as long as you link your Xbox Live account to your Microsoft Passport account! We’ll have more on Xbox 360 in the coming weeks...Source: http://www.totalvideogames.com/
