Xbox 360 Zero Hour Party
We Have Lift Off! Weve been eagerly counting down the launch of the Xbox 360 at Xboxaddict for some time now, and now it appears that Microsoft is going to end the countdown in style with Xbox 360: Zero Hour. At sunset at an Area 51-like "undisclosed" location in Californias Mojave Desert on November 20, the Zero Hour launch party will kick off more than 30 hours of 360 bliss. Were talking more than 500 gaming stations with high-definition monitors and the entire library of launch games. Were talking the first look at Xbox Arcade and the first ever 32-player death match on Perfect Dark Zero over Xbox Live. Did I say bliss? Zero hour will literally run until zero hour -- 12:01 am on November 22, the official launch date of the Xbox 360. Also included will be some live-action demos of some unreleased titles like the greatly anticipated Gears of War. Microsoft is being quiet on what other titles will be on display at Zero Hour, but there should plenty of pleasant surprises. Instead of hosting Zero Hour in glitzy Hollywood, Microsoft chose the Mojave desert to give the event a futuristic "Area 51" feel and to ensure that 360 is the star. Thats not to say there are no VIPs in attendance. Along with live music from SoCal rockers Louis XIV, Microsoft bigwigs J Allard and Peter Moore will make an appearance. "Our goal with the launch event is to reward the gamer by creating the ultimate Xbox 360 oasis," said Moore. "Gamers at Zero Hour will have bragging rights to say I spent over 24 hours at the epicenter of the gaming universe, and I was among the first generation of the next generation of gaming."Source: http://www.ign.com
