Bungie Spills on New Halo 3 Maps
Thanks to the power of the internet, weve all seen the new Halo 3 multiplayer maps Last Resort and Epitah before, but Bungie has finally come out to talk about their features. As you already know, Last Resort is a remake of Halo 2 fav Zanzibar. The similarities are obvious - you cant miss that huge round structure - but Bungie has remixed a few things. "While the map looks and plays a bit more wide open, the size differences are largely the result of an expanded walkway near Camp Froman and a significantly larger interior with some new entry points," says Bungie. A Forerunner structure with moody neon blue lighting plays host to the Epitah map, which Bungie says consists of "a series of external hallways leading into a multi-level interior with a central theater at the center on the lowest level." The level has changed a fair bit in recent months too, reveals Bungie. "Weapon placements, and a few structural changes have changed the way the map plays considerably." The update also discusses the new armour permutations. "These multiplayer-only, cosmetic changes to your armor are a way to add diversity, spice and flavor to Halo 3s multiplayer shenanigans. The C.Q.B. (Close Quarters Battle) and E.V.A. (Extra Vehicular Activity) variants of Spartans are two of the numerous permutations players will be able to unlock in Halo 3," it explains. Below, youll also find another profiling image of the new Brute Chopper, which Bungie says has four cannons and a top speed of 75 miles per hour, and will allow its rider to make a mess of on-foot or vehicle-driving opponents.Source: http://www.computerandvideogames.com
