Beautiful Katamari Exclusive: ConfirmedBeautiful Katamari has finally been confirmed as an exclusive for Xbox 360, after weeks of dancing around exclusivity rumors. The on-off pantomime saga started since Beautiful Katamaris announcement and grew louder when Namco-Bandai left a PlayStation 3 version of Beautiful Katamari out of its E3 line-up. Now its been confirmed in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu - Beautiful Katamari IS exclusive to Xbox 360, with no word on what has happened to the supposed PlayStation 3 version. In addition to that, there were plenty of details on what to expect from the multiplayer side of Beautiful Katamari. There will be a four-player version of standard Katamari, where four of you roll around the same level trying to pick up as many items as possible to please the King Of The Cosmos (its part of the storyline, please dont ask). As always, the biggest ball wins but when you consider that you can even bump into the other katamari to knock their items off their ball, its not quite as simple as it first seems. There will also be a co-op mode, where two players attempt to guide a single katamari with control split between the players. Split-screen play will also make it in, though theres no word on how many players will be squinting at their respective corner of the screen while shifting closer and closer to the TV. Both co-op and split-screen will be offline only.
