Pirates vs. Ninjas Play Dodgeball on XBLA

Gamecock is bringing Blazing Lizard’s Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball to Xbox Live Arcade early next year. That’s right, the long-running feud between ninjas and pirates will finally be settled. "It is no secret that Pirates and Ninjas have beef," said Chris Stockman, Studio Director of Blazing Lizard. "But it turns out both have a great love for dodgeball and unique skills when it comes to playing the game. We are bringing together sworn enemies for what I can guarantee will be explosive dodgeball action." As you’d expect, there will be a ninja and a pirate team at war on the dodgeball court. But those are the only two groups entering the fray. IGN has first details on one of the zombie team, which will be certain to put up a gruesome fight against pirate and ninja alike. Name: Clarice Lennett Age: 16 Hometown: San Diego, CA Special Move: Still secret…sorry Background: Clarice had everything a young teenager could want, a handsome boyfriend, head cheerleader status, decent grades, accepting parents, and a smokin’ hot body. Sadly her best friend, Jen, was insanely jealous of her and everything she had. One day after Cheerleader practice, Jen found Clarice in the locker room and stabbed her in the back 4 times…hoping to get rid of her once and for all. She failed. Clarice has since risen from the dead and is now getting prepared to avenge her slaying by participating in competitive Dodgeball. Name: Ol’ Ben Greazer Age: 72 Hometown: New Orleans, LA Special Move: Ol’ Ben summons his zombified dog, Chester, to recover the ball when it’s in play. Chester will race to the ball, grab it, and return to his master. Background: Ben has been a caretaker for a New Orleans graveyard for over 50 years. He’s seen (and done) just about everything that goes on in a graveyard from chasing off grave robbers to catching a couple making whoopee on a tombstone. Recently, the dead have mysteriously risen from their graves and have formed up to become a formidable Dodgeball team. He has taken care of the graveyard for so long he feels very much responsible for its tenants and has decided to join his new friends in their crusade against the living. Name: Forrest "Bones" MacAroy Age: Unknown Hometown: Parts Unknown Special Move: Forrest throws one of his bones at his opponents, that if hit, will temporarily stun them. Background: Forrest has a hard time hiding his age seeing as he’s pretty much just bones and not much else! He claims to be male but even that is questionable since no one has ever seem him with his skin on. Not much is known about Forrest’s history as he doesn’t talk very often. But the times he does jaw-jack you can bet it’s going to be interesting and unforgettable. Name: Jaws McGee Age: 110 Hometown: Baton Rouge, LA Special Move: Jaws burrows into the ground when he wants to quickly move around an arena. He can dig out at a moment’s notice to surprise the enemy. Background: Even though his lower jaw has long since been lost and his skin is rapidly rotting away Jaws is still the lovable zombie that his teammates know and trust. He can move like the wind when necessary and his amazing digging skills (he was a champion grave digger in his former life) have often come in handy during a match. Jaws doesn’t like to talk about his past or how he ended up digging his own grave, but rumors persist that it involved Pirates and treasure.
