Baja: Edge of Control Unleashes Ultimate Off-Road

From the core founding members of the MX vs. ATV franchise, BAJA: Edge of Control lets players conquer towering mountains and unpredictable terrain in the most realistic off-road racing game ever created. Baja: Edge of Control is now available for the suggested retail price of $59.99.

"Baja: Edge of Control offers a realistic simulation of a Baja race, where managing the vehicle’s tires, clutch and brakes at speeds of over 100 mph is the key to victory," said Peter Matiss, Vice President of Global Brand Management, THQ. "For those that prefer to get straight into the action, the game also offers an arcade mode that removes vehicle management and focuses on the intensity of off -road racing."

"Baja: Edge of Control delivers the ultimate Baja racing experience." said Robb Rinard, Game Designer, 2XL Games. "For the truly hardcore, the game offers races that can last up to four hours across hundreds of miles of brutal terrain for up to 10 players online or 4 players via split screen."

About BAJA: Edge of Control

Baja: Edge of Control contains more than 1,000 miles of the toughest terrain Mother Nature has to offer, including the steepest mountains, thickest mud and deepest canyons ever created. With more than 160 sponsored vehicles in eight classes, including Trophy Trucks, 4x4s and buggies, Baja: Edge of Control features a full array of upgradeable options with hundreds of authentic parts that affect each vehicle’s performance. Players will put their off-road machines to the test in near-vertical Hill Climb challenges, head-to-head Open Class races, circuit races and the ultimate off-road endurance challenge: the Baja! Baja: Edge of Control contains more than 100 tracks across all landscapes in races that can last up to four hours. The game’s revolutionary vehicle physics deliver unprecedented life-like handling, and a support management system that allows gamers to monitor and repair realistic vehicle damage as fenders fly, tires are blown, suspension is stressed and engines overheat. Baja: Edge of Control supports four-player split screen multiplayer capability, 10-player online and LAN as well as multiple-screen panoramic view. Baja: Edge of Control is developed by 2XL Games in Phoenix, Ariz. For more information on this game, as well as additional THQ titles, please visit www.thq.com and www.bajagame.com.
