New Xbox for 2010?
Microsofts Shane Kim spoke last week about how the launch of Natal will have the same impact as the launch of the 360 – and there are now suggestions that the motion cameras arrival could be joined by an all-new console.
1UP is rumouring that Natal will be accompanied by a revised Xbox console when it lands next year, suggesting that the new machine will present a similar generation leap as that witnessed from Nintendos GameCube to the Wii, offering a repackaged machine with slightly enhanced technical specs and with the all-important camera included.
A more powerful Xbox 360 for 2010? Such rumours go against the grain of senior Xbox executives recent comments about the 360s extended lifespan, and a more realistic proposition would be a console that maintains the core architecture of the existing hardware and repackages it for the mainstream market that Microsoft is keen to court.
