London Games Festival 2009 Detailed
Among the highlights of this year’s event will be the London MCM Expo at Excel on October 24 and 25, the London Games Conference at Bafta on October 27, and the Golden Joysticks Awards on October 30.
Last year’s LGF featured 60 city-wide events and attracted 200,000 visitors.
“The 2008 London Games Festival was a major success. With the rise in popularity of videogames in the UK I’m sure this year’s festival will be a great draw and fun for everyone,” said Michael Rawlinson, director general of UK games publishers’ trade body ELSPA.
Electronic Arts UK and Ireland general manager Keith Ramsdale added: “With support from all areas of the industry it is now well established as part of the worldwide event calendar and we look forward to its ongoing success. We have signed up a number of partnerships for 2009 and the festival is already taking shape well.”
